You Deserve Teeth That Work Like Teeth
If you’ve spent years hiding your smile, avoiding certain foods, or managing the discomfort of missing teeth, you already know how much it affects your daily life. Not just how you eat but how you feel walking into a room, laughing with your family, or sitting across from someone at work.
A full set of teeth on implants gives you back what missing teeth take away. Teeth that are anchored in your jaw. Teeth that let you bite into an apple, speak clearly, and smile without thinking twice. Teeth that are yours.
At Ashland Family and Implant Dentistry, Dr. Ali Almaawi, DDS, FICOI a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists handles every step of this treatment in-house. No referrals to outside surgeons. No bouncing between offices. One trusted provider, from your first consultation to your final restoration.
What “Teeth on Implants” Actually Means
Instead of sitting on top of your gums the way traditional dentures do, implant-supported teeth are anchored directly into your jawbone with small titanium posts. These posts fuse with your bone over time, creating a stable foundation that behaves like a natural tooth root.
Your new teeth are then attached to those implants fixed in place, not removable, and strong enough to eat whatever you want.
You may have heard terms like All-on-4 or All-on-X. These refer to the number of implants used to support a full arch of teeth. They’re the technique. What you’re getting is a complete, permanent smile.
Who This Is For
This treatment is designed for patients who:
- Are missing most or all of their teeth on the upper arch, lower arch, or both
- Want a fixed solution they will never have to remove
- Are done managing the discomfort or instability of existing dentures
- Want to eat, speak, and smile without worrying about their teeth
- Are in reasonably good health and want a long-term investment in their quality of life
Dr. Almaawi will evaluate your bone structure, jaw health, and overall situation at your free consultation to confirm whether you’re a good candidate and walk you through a realistic timeline.
The Process, Explained Simply
Your Consultation
Dr. Almaawi examines your jaw, reviews your medical history, and uses 3D imaging to see exactly how much bone is available and where implants can be placed. You’ll leave with a clear picture of what the treatment involves, what it costs, and how long it takes.
Implant Placement
The implant posts are placed surgically in your jawbone. This is done right here at our Ashland practice Dr. Almaawi does not refer this step to an outside specialist. Local anesthesia keeps you comfortable throughout.
Healing
Over the next few months, the implants fuse with your jawbone. Most patients receive a temporary restoration during this period so they’re never without teeth.
Your New Smile
Once integration is confirmed, your final arch of teeth is attached. These are custom-fabricated to fit your face, match natural proportions, and feel secure when you bite, chew, and speak.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long do implant-supported teeth last?
With proper care, the implants themselves can last a lifetime. The arch of teeth attached to them may need to be replaced or serviced after 10 to 20 years, depending on the materials used and how well you maintain them.
Will my new teeth look natural?
Yes. Your restoration is custom-designed based on your facial proportions, gum line, and aesthetic preferences. The result looks like healthy, natural teeth because it’s built to.
Is the process painful?
The surgery is performed under local anesthesia. Most patients are surprised by how manageable it is. Post-procedure soreness is normal and typically resolves within a few days with over-the-counter pain relief.
What if I don’t have enough bone?
Bone loss is common in patients who have been missing teeth for a long time. If bone grafting is needed before implants can be placed, Dr. Almaawi will explain that at your consultation and incorporate it into your treatment plan.
Do I have to go without teeth during healing?
No. Most patients receive a temporary restoration during the healing period. You won’t have to manage without teeth while you wait.
